“Aliyat and ‘Attatan, children of Asporaq, alas!”

L.4-5: ’spwrq is the Iranian name Aspōrag or Spurrag, see Gignoux2002, 145 and 846a respectively. The Greek form of the name Σποράκης is attested for a phylarchos of Anthemousias (Osrhoene) in the time of Trajan (Dio68, 21); in Latin Sporacius (at Rome, ICURVI, 16012). See as well P.Euphr.5, where a lady is from the village of Magdala of Sphorakene (κώ(μης) Μαγδάλης τς Σφωρακηνς): Feissel & Gascou1995, p.114-116.
